High Holidays 5776 (2015)

High Holidays

Please join us for uplifting and inspiring High Holiday services with Jews from all walks of life in the Sunrise area.

The liturgy will follow the traditional tunes and will be intermingled and infused with inspiring commentary, stories, lessons and melodies.

Although there are no fees to attend, our programs are costly to us and our sustainability is made possible by our friends and members right here in our community whose contributions throughout the year and during the High Holiday season allow us to help so many. Please consider helping us continue our efforts on behalf of our community with a donation of your choice in honor of the High Holidays.

Tashlich Service - First day of Rosh Hashana - September 14

Join us for a unique, meaningful ceremony called "Tashlich" that is done only once a year.

In this tradition, we stand near a body of water (preferably one that contains live fish) and recite a prayer where we symbolically "cast away our sins" to the depths of the seas. (Tashlich in Hebrew means "cast away"). Join us as we explore the meaning for this age-old tradition

This service will take place after the kiddush on the first day of Rosh Hashana.

Yom Kippur services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 & Wednesday, September 23, 2015

The services are being held at The LENOX on the Lake Assisted Living Facility. This will provide the residents the opportunity to participate in the Yom Kippur services.

Location:
The LENOX on the Lake
6700 W Commercial Blvd
Lauderhill, FL 33319
